Every service we offer our patients combines the knowledge and expertise
of a well-trained dental team with the most advanced equipment and
technology available. In addition to an expansive range of treatment
options, the high-tech equipment in our practice makes Dr. Spaniel
better able to diagnose and co-diagnose conditions, and she can share
what she sees with the patient.
Preventive Care
Preventive care encompasses a full range of treatments,
with distinct steps focusing on the teeth, gums, bones, joints and even
breath. We
offer all
of these treatments, and we particularly stress gum health, simply because
everything is based on a good foundation. For more information on the
steps we take to help patients maintain good periodontal (gum) health,

Restorative Services
Dr. Spaniel specializes in complex adult restorative
dentistry, and she is unique in this region given her expertise with
CAD/CAM restorations.
She has published several journal articles on the topic,
and she lectures frequently on it as well. If you’d like to learn more
about these restorations, please explore our patient education links as indicated.
Gum Disease
Because periodontal (gum) health is the foundation of good
dental fitness, an appropriate soft-tissue management program
is required to maintain healthy bones and gums around the teeth.
If a patient
has deep
periodontal pockets,
professional cleanings can help correct them.
Despite
the best
cleaning efforts, however, if bacteria remain,
the condition will worsen. Therefore, when a bacterial infection
is present,
we go a
step further
by treating
the pockets with Arestin® antibiotic
powder. After
a deep cleaning, we place the powder under
the gumline to kill the bacteria, and in
turn, shrink the periodontal pockets. We
also monitor patients
individually to determine the most appropriate
cleaning schedule; some require more
than the standard two hygiene appointments
per year.

Cosmetic Services
Depending on the patient, a cosmetic case can be as
simple as tooth whitening or as complex as a full smile redesign.
The options available today are seemingly limitless, thanks to the wide,
ever-growing range of materials and equipment. If you are interested in learning
more about smile enhancement possibilities, be sure to explore our patient
education
links.
Patient
Comfort & Technology
Dr. Spaniel embraces the technological “gadgets” of
dentistry, not because they are fun to use, but because they help her
give patients
the very best treatment possible.
She also relies on seemingly simple things like bottled water in every
operatory to prevent waterline contamination.
In addition, she and her staff
strongly believe patients should be comfortable and at ease while undergoing
dental treatment. To that end, we offer
a
range of patient comfort measures,
such as video glasses and nearly 600 movie selections from which to choose,
hot towels, aromatherapy, massage
chairs, extra neck support
in the dental chairs, and a coffee and juice bar.
