Meet Our Team

High-Tech Dentistry with a Personal Touch

While our equipment speaks for itself, it is the people who use it that add that extra “something” which makes our practice so special. Dr. Spaniel has been at this practice for more than a decade, and the core staff members started here in 1985. It is not surprising, then, that we have developed relationships with our patients.

Julie Ann Spaniel, DDS

Dr. Spaniel is a 1991 graduate of the University of North Carolina Dental School, and she completed a general practice residency at the V.A. Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. She is an expert in complex restorative dentistry and has published several articles on CAD/CAM dentistry, one of her particular specialties. She also frequently lectures on this topic. In short, the CAD/CAM process enables Dr. Spaniel to create and place custom-designed, all-ceramic restorations in a single treatment session.

In addition to her practice responsibilities, Dr. Spaniel is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry as well as an elected member of the American Academy of Dental Practice Administrators. She also serves on the board of The Burlington Community Health Center, and is a member of the city’s Rotary Club.

LeeAnn Podruch, DDS, JD

LeeAnn is a restorative dentist with a strong background in dentistry as well as law. In 1976 she graduated from the Marquette University School of Dentistry where she got her start in the field. She then was an adult restorative dentist in South Burlington for over 25 years. LeeAnn went back to school, graduating from Vermont Law School in 1998. Committed to her industry, Dr. Podruch is involved with ADA, VSDS, American Academy of Dental Practice Administration, North East Regional Board of Dental Examiners and is a board member of Delta Dental Plan of Vermont. In her spare time away from the office she enjoys exercising, along with raising and showing Silky Terriers. She is married to her husband David and has two children, Emily and Alex.

Erica Grayson DiGuglielmo DDS

Erica is a native of Vermont. She grew up in Shelburne and graduated from Columbia University School of Dental Medicine where she earned the Academy of Operative Dentistry award. She joined our practice as a restorative dentist in the summer of 2008. Erica is a 5 year member of the American Dental Association and a new member of the Vermont State Dental Society.

She and her husband Shon, a pediatric dentist, are expecting their first child this April. Dr. DiGuglielmo is welcoming new patients to her practice.
